An Authentic Voice for Wolfeboro
My name is Brodie Deshaies, and I am one of Wolfeboro's two state representatives. I loved growing up in Wolfeboro and taking advantage of all the opportunities our community has to offer. I graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in 2017. In high school, I was elected as the Student Representative to the Governor Wentworth Regional School Board. Being on the school board taught me a lot about local government and the many responsibilities entrusted to our local officials. I also developed a passion for serving our community.
I was formerly a student at Saint Anselm College (Class of 2021). I currently work full-time as an independent contractor, being employed by political campaigns across New Hampshire. I have previously served as the Legislative Liaison for the New Hampshire Federation of College Republicans. I was the Executive Director of the Saint Anselm College Republicans in 2019 and 2020. Before serving as an Executive Director, I was the Treasurer of the Saint Anselm College Republicans. From 2018 to 2020, I served as Wolfeboro's Delegate to the Republican State Convention; and during that same period of time, I served as the Vice-Chairman of the Winnipesaukee Republicans. My term for this last position ended in April of 2021.
I currently serve as the Clerk of the Carroll County Delegation and on our County Delegation's Executive Committee. The Carroll County Delegation is our county's legislative body, and it is made up of our county's 15 state representatives. We approve all of Carroll County's spending and help formulate an operating budget. Down in Concord, I am on the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee.
I ran to be your state representative so I could give back to the community that has given me so much. And for me, it's all about our communities! I am working hard for our community and preventing new costly taxes, like sales or income tax. I voted to reduce small business taxes and the expensive Meals and Rooms Tax while increasing the state's revenue-sharing with Wolfeboro. I am working with my colleagues on the County Delegation to hold the line on spending and prevent property tax increases. I am bringing more resources to Wolfeboro rather than new costs. I am also working across the aisle to improve our infrastructure, improve education, lower the cost of healthcare and prescription medications, improve and increase access to mental healthcare, help solve the Opioid Epidemic, and support our local businesses and farms.
Every day, I try to bring common-sense conservatism down to Concord or up to Ossipee. I will continue to promote our Granite State values and build a better NH. Please, use my Contact Brodie page if you have any questions, concerns, or need help. I am here to serve our wonderful community.
